Kits Sports Center: PreK/Kindergarten
These
classes are designed for 2-6 year olds to be introduced to a sport,
or several sports in a structured setting. Below is a list of our PreK/Kindergarten
classes & a short description of each program.

Intro
to Sports: Children are introduced to basic skills for soccer, basketball,
track, kickball, wiffleball and floor hockey. They will have a chance
to practice those skills during game play.
Soccer: Children will be taught how to dribble, pass and shoot the soccer ball
using interactive fun drills. The children will practice their skills
during a fun class scrimmage.
Tot
Time with Parent: Calling all 2 and 3 year olds! Here's a chance
to play with mom or dad while developing your child's motor skills.
Motor skill activities will focus on hand/eye and hand/foot coordination:
kicking, hopping, hoola hoops, parachute games and scooters.
Beginning
Basketball: These classes will be taught by Coach Lonnie and/or
Coach Toron. Both have several years of youth coaching experience. This
class will focus on the basics of basketball, including: ball handling,
defense, rules and shooting. Small games will be used to help children
develop their skills.
Let's
Play Ball: This class is targeted to older children who have previously
participated in Intro to Sports and/or have been introduced to some
basic sports skills. The children will play soccer, basketball, wiffleball,
floor hockey, kickball, relay games, and scooter games. Let's Play Ball
offers children the opportunity to experience playing a variety of games
and sports.
Floor
Hockey: Basic hockey skills are developed during class, including
ball handling, passing, and shooting - as well as game strategy. Safety
rules are also covered, making the game fun and safe for all children.
Children will have a chance to use their skills in class scrimmages.
Tri-sport: This class will be taught by Coach Lonnie and/or Coach Toron of Netburners
Sports. Both coaches have several years of professional youth coaching
experience. This class will focus on three sports: baseball, football
and basketball. Children will learn skills associated with each sport
and have opportunities to use these skills in game situations.
